For example, forms can be updated to allow for new features such as a better email input for those using a mobile device.
Enhanced Audio and Visual Support
HTML5 gives vastly improved audio and visual support. Once it is fully running and all browsers support HTML5, it will be a simple fix to add audio and video to websites without outside plugins such as Flash, providing a much better performance. Audio/video will become an essential feature of website design.
Simplified Website Editing
Editing the content of your website is simplified with HTML5. Using the contenteditable attribute, which takes the place of the old content management system, you can quickly and painlessly change your text by adding contenteditable=“true” to any element.
Improved website content presentation with CSS3
With CSS comes increased flexibility and freedom in the presentation of website content. It allows the user to make everything more attractive and professional. The new version, CSS3 is not supported by all browsers yet. However its popularity is increasing rapidly because it makes these changes so much easier to achieve. Using something like a Javascript plugin or creating slightly different versions of the same image just does not give the same polished effect.
An example of the new CSS3 feature is Image editing - the new canvas option allows the user to edit the images within the code. Examples of this feature include box shadows, shadows on text, more texts, borders around images, altering opacity, rounded corners, skew, all of which can be created by simply uploading them into the CSS file.
iOS friendly
HTML5 is iOS-friendly which means it will start to be used frequently on more and more websites which see the benefits of being compatible across all hardware.
